My Darker Dreams
Well, it has been some time since I put out My Darker Dreams, and a while since I promised myself and the world I would update this blog more regularly. Currently I've been doing my best to refine several of my longer short stories that I hope to have epublished on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords soon. As well as working on a novel. As well as trying to finish Deathless. As well as trying to write a screenplay. I think I may be overloading myself, sheesh!
For the foreseeable future I will be devoting myself primarily to short stories, with some background work going on for my Great American Novel(tm). Expect to hear more in that regard soon. More specifically my horror shorts are the closest to being ready for an audience, at least in my estimation. Muahahaha.

Night Shift and Elves
Night shift at a hotel gives me plenty of time to write! I'll be devoting some of that towards Deathless and hopefully making some major headway soon. In the mean time let me tell you a bit about elves:
The elves of Deathless are one of the two primordial races, with the other being the giants. The primordials were given the ability to adapt to their surroundings over time, and so the elves and giants who stayed in any one location would slowly change to become more in tune with their surroundings.
This all changed two thousand years ago. Using the unwitting Orazio, then after named the Wolf, as his pawn the dark god Nyr tainted the elvish evolutionary process. No longer would the elves grow in harmony with their homes. Instead, after Nyr's curse, they would inevitably transform into the dreaded No'heam, savage predators that could kill dozens of men single handed. For centuries the ignorant elves lost themselves to the beast inside them and for centuries the Midlands were scourged.
Now the elves must live a nomadic life, unwelcome wherever they travel due to the curse their whole race bears. These are the elves of Deathless.

Consolidation
Greetings!
Whew! It has certainly been a while since this site recieved any love! For that I must apologize. I began with the best of intentions, but you know what they say about those and the paths they adorn...
In any case Plotgap Publishing will be back up and running soon. This blog will be the hub where you can find news about the writing of Joshua Kemp and future releases from Plotgap.
I will be re-releasing (and gradually continuing) the tales of Christopher Chance - Sorcerer's Assistant as well as short stories. You can also find news about any new releases or places where my work has been published.
Speaking of which - for anyone interested my first collection of short stories, My Darker Dreams, is now available on Smashwords at As always, thank you to everyone for the support and I hope you enjoy the stories!
Sincerely -
Josh

Ooo! Pretty Pictures!
My name is Robin, and I'm the Co-Founder and Art Director for Plotgap Publishing. As we have been constructing the world of Deathless, I've created some images of the various people and creatures that inhabit it. Here is a preview of a few of such pieces. Enjoy!

My Birthday
Hello,
Sorry for missing the Plotgap update yesterday... it was my birthday so I do hope you'll forgive me. Deathless is taking shape, and we're soon going to be hiring artists and writers to help complete the project. We already have our first on board! As soon as we get him a contract we'll be welcoming Plotgap's first freelancer. Coming up next week we'll have some teaser artwork up for you all to enjoy. Until then, from all of Plotgap, thanks for all the support.
G'bye all!

Plotgap Publishing
Hello, public in general, this is Joshua Kemp, founder of Plotgap Publishing:
It's a real pleasure to finally be at the point where I can start to show all of the hard work that has gone into Deathless. Currently we're seeking a competent web designer to help us set up a site, and making arrangements to get our business license while finishing work on our flagship product, the campaign setting Deathless.
In the upcoming weeks we'll be giving you sneak peaks at the artwork and history of this intricate setting, as well as previewing our upcoming products, with updates coming every Sunday.
